Today's Topic of Discussion
Well, it's been a good show all round, but winter is definitely upon Michigan now. I was impressed that the weather stayed fine for so long... but I should have known the *moment* I had to drive any substantial distance there would be a blizzard. >.<
So after about an hour of miserable driving, (If one insists upon being idiotic and traveling at reckless speeds, and if one MUST pass a sensible soul driving a poor fishtail-prone minibus, one should at least have the decency to completely get into the opposite lane before zooming by rather than straddling the center and practically shoving said sensible soul into a ditch.) I decided to take break. Lucky for me I have a good friend who lives en route to my destination, and he's always happy to see me.

I thought after an hour or so to settle my rattled nerves and play some games I'd be alright to finish up the wintry trek...
but the snow....
........just
didn't...STOP!
And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?
It was mind boggling. Drifts were forming. Gales blew treacherous swirls cross the highways. So I didn't actually get back on the road, I was persuaded to spend the night.
Around 2 AM the worst of the weather was over, and the sky was scattering big, fat, damp, repentant flakes, as if to say; "Sorry for the temper tantrum. Hugz?"
And I forgave it. We went on a walk through the woods in the dead of night, savouring the silence of a snow-laden world... everything was heavy with white in the perfect way that only the first real snow of winter can achieve... and then out of nowhere! Lightning! I couldn't believe it. It was absolutely perfect - flashes of light brightening the silent paths of the woods and sparkling off the new drifts...
*edit* I would like to note the small irony of it being December 1st on which the first real snow fell.

For me at least. Some of you don't have snow...

so sorry.

Silly Ramblings
Moving on from my snow rhapsodies, I have a question for you:
Well, let me start with an explanation:
I really enjoy playing group games like Apples to Apples and Wits and Wagers, but lately I've been stuck on a game called Imaginiff, which involves categorizing a person's personality into some kind of noun, "and its a lot of explanation but dont worry about it kids, Ok?"
So. With that as the provoking factor:
If you were a vehicle (any mode of transportation I suppose), what would you be? I'd prefer a specific answer, including why you think that transport personifies You.

And now back to my snow-obsession!!!!!:

Once when I was young,
I used to dream for hours and hours,
I'd dream a world that wasn't small...

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path's straight. ~Proverbs 3:5-6

Oh squiggly line in my eye fluid. I see you lurking there on the peripherie of my vision...Are you shy, squiggly line? Why only when I ignore you, do you return to the center of my eye? Oh, squiggly line, it's alright, you are forgiven.
